_ It is so strange to think that a lot of people think that dieting is a way for the universe to punish them for not having a perfect body.They also wrongfully believe that food is bad for them. Of course this is not true. Fact is that dieting allows you to discover new foods and flavors and is not about giving up foods or flavors. The discovery of new foods and flavors is for those who truly love the adventure of discovery.

 

You see, fish and chicken are considered good diet foods and therefore are quite popular. The blandest of foods can be made exciting with the huge variety of spices out there. By adding a little blackening seasoning to these foods, you can have great tasting food without adding all the calories that marinades or butter will add to the food. You can also look at Italian seasoning and rest assured that you will not have the additional calories added, just because of flavor.

 

In this instance you have a huge selection of seasonings that will work well. You can use the seasoning for chicken to make great salad wraps and be confident that it is a very healthy meal. Of course grains are also good for you, especially whole grain. As a primary source of fiber, you can consume a considerable amount of it, as you need almost as much fiber as you need water. Just focus on the simple things as they can spice up an ordinary meal into an enjoyable meal.


 

The good news is that you can enjoy the occasional treat, but you need to do it exactly as suggested, occasionally. The truth is that you must learn to have proper proportions and indulge moderately. These days there are a lot of low carb and low sugar deserts available, which you can enjoy sparingly. It is important that you pay attention to what and how many of these treats you put in your mouth. Even if you find low calorie and sugar free candy, consuming a lot can have the calories add up quickly.

 

To make my point I have to re-iterate the point that you do not have to sacrifice flavor in your food for the sake of dieting. For instance, you can live without butter as there are many remarkable substitutions available. In fact, you can add a lot of flavor with a little seasoning and it takes very little effort. If you like dips and sauces, then you will find a lot of fat free mayonnaise, sour cream and yoghurt that can help cut on those unwanted calories.

 

An excellent substitution for chips and dips would be veggies and this low fat dip. So when the craving hit for those greasy chips with fatty dip during dieting, rather grab a bowl full of crunchy green, red and yellow peppers (high on vitamin C), carrot sticks, cucumbers and the like and enjoy with your low fat dip.

 

Another great way to keep your cravings under control is to buy snacks in those 100 calorie snack pack. When the craving hit then you can grab a snack pack and know one pack is only 100 calories. The trick is to keep these carvings under control and not replace your meal with these snacks. Of course if dieting was easy then no-one would have an issue with body fat. So the trick is to not let dieting, counting calories and bland foods become an unbearable issue.

 

You should make small changes and ensure you do the right thing more often than the wrong thing. And where and how to start has always been an issue. Until now.
